Answer

Question:
Even though my iPod is properly mounted, JakPod won't find it. How come?

Answer:
The problem is to detect the correct mount point of the iPod, so you have to help JakPod to find it:

  • Open the file "jakpod.properties" using some text edito
  • Set the path to the mount point, for example "configuredIPodLocations=/path/to/ipod"
  • Save the file and restart JakPod
  • Since JakPod 1.0 you can also set the path in the options dialog "File->Options->General"

While you're at it, take a look at all the other options in "jakpod.properties". They are well documented and you might find some interesting stuff.
